A Very Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas at home. It was nice to stay home and start traditions that I hope will carry on for years to come. Charlotte loved the wrapping paper, tissue paper and ribbons....the toys inside took a backseat until all the boxes and paper were finally cleared. She is now starting to explore the loads and loads of toys she got from Santa!

Christmas Eve with Eliza

We really had a great few days, but couldn't help but miss our little angel Beaux. He is missed everyday, but during this Holiday season he has especially been on our minds. How sweet it would be to watch them play in the wrapping paper together. We can only honor his memory by saying a special prayer for him at our Christmas dinner table, hang a special ornament just for him and create ways to still include him in our holiday traditions.

Today is one year to the day that I was admitted into the hospital for bedrest and one year since I started blogging. It started to relieve some extreme boredom while being trapped in a hospital bed, but it has become so much more.

The blog has been such a great way for me to communicate the fun stuff, the hard stuff, the sad stuff and mostly to document Charlotte as she grows. Thanks for checking in, reading and commenting. What a journey it has been so far! As I have learned this year, "Life goes on" and I hope you will continue watching us as we keep on keeping on!!

We have been blowing and going since I got off work for the holidays. Charlotte and I went to San Antonio to visit all of her "boyfriends" before Christmas. The girls are definitely out numbered in this group but Charlotte hung in there with all the big boys and they are super sweet with her.

Around the house

I have been trying to clean out pictures and organize them. Here are some random ones that I found.

Some of Charlotte's favorite things lately:
Eating "real" food

Messing with the dogs, especially Sugar

Checking out the neighborhood

Wearing her "bear" hat

Hanging with other babies - she would really love it if we let her poke their eyes and pull their hair!

Eating in a high chair out and about

Holiday Hangover

Christmas is not even here and we are already suffering from a Holiday Hangover! We hit 4 Christmas parties in 3 days! Thanks to the back up of 2 grandma's we were able to enjoy the Christmas spirit with friends and co-workers.  I am beat and it is time to some how find energy to keep shopping, wrapping and decorating.

In between all the responsibilities and errands involved in getting ready for the Holiday Season, we had time to visit Santa at The Galleria. She did remarkably well! I have to give a special shout out to the patient and super fast photographers that are Santa's Helpers - they made the experience fast and easy!

Coming soon... pictures of Round #2 with Santa from the Victoria visit....she was NOT a big fan!

Thanksgiving in Atlanta - part 1

We had a great time visiting family in Atlanta for Thanksgiving. Charlotte and I flew up early and Micah met us there later in the week. I was nervous about flying by myself with her, but she did GREAT and loved all the action at the airports. We spent lots of great time with our cousins and she enjoyed every minute of being entertained by them!
