Eight Months

Eight months old and this is pretty much the view we have of our little lady on the move. She is crawling so fast, we can hardly keep up!

Have I mentioned that she is into EVERYTHING. Question: why do babies insist on playing with things like electrical outlets, cords, door stoppers, shoe laces? How about that toy box full of "Baby Einstein" - "Make your baby smart" toys? Why doesn't she want to put those in her mouth?

We also had to finally lower the crib....I totally busted her after her nap

FUN AT THE BEACH

This past weekend we went to Port Aransas . It was a nice and relaxing weekend - we really need to take advantage of our Texas beaches. They may not be the white sands of Florida or Mexico - but Charlotte had a great time and loved the sand and water!

Houston....we have a crawler

I wanted to share this video of Charlotte crawling. It was taken a few days ago and she is already moving so much faster. She is into EVERYTHING!!! She especially loves shoes for some reason....watch out Micah! Can you imagine what she would do in a real shoe department....maybe we need to take a trip to the Nordstroms shoe department to check it out!

I haven't blogged much about Beaux lately. This doesn't mean that he is not always on our mind. Sometimes I just feel like being private about the whole thing and keeping it to myself. Other times I feel like tapping every resource I can to find support. I read a quote the other day that spoke to me:

"I suppose I am waiting for the sadness to end. But sadness isn't something that ends, it just becomes less hard. It melts into an ache that is a part of you."

Days and weeks go by and the sadness become bearable but never absent.

Closer to Fall

There is actually a little bit of a breeze in the air and I can sense Fall right around the corner. With Fall comes spending a lot more time outside with out boiling in the heat, starting another school year (me not Charlotte...yet) and of course...FOOTBALL!

First longhorn football game...we did not actually go to the game, but watched in the A/C at home!
halftime cheer!

Happy Labor Day everyone!
